The second edition of Testathon will be held on March 23-29. The seven-day software testing marathon is the only event of its kind in Poland. 2500 thousand people will be able to participate in free webinars or weekend workshops.
The first edition of the event was very popular, with more than 30 thousand people attending. Due to the ever-increasing market demand for various types of technological solutions, and thus the need to test them, the topics of the event are very popular. Testathon is addressed both to people who are just starting their adventure with software testing and those who have been working as testers for years.
The entire event will include a series of five webinars and six practical weekend workshops. The webinars will take place from Monday, March 23 to Friday, March 27. Anyone can participate, regardless of their skill level and location. Each webinar will last an hour, which will be filled to the brim with knowledge about software testing. Since testing is a very expansive area, consisting of many topics, the scope of the event is diverse. Testathon participants will have the opportunity to expand their knowledge of, among other things, the prospects for tester development or the most common tester mistakes.
The weekend from March 28 to 29 will in turn be filled with workshops. This year's topics will include issues such as Data Science or the Internet of Things. A real treat will be the workshops, where presenters will show live how to hack an application using popular methods used by hackers. Each workshop lasts 4 hours. A detailed agenda with descriptions of the webinars and workshops can be found on the Testathon website.
Testathon is an event that gives testers a chance to present their knowledge to a wider audience. The topic of the webinar or workshop could be submitted by any tester interested in sharing their experience with others. The Testathon agenda shows that the fairer sex is increasingly opting for a career in the new technology industry - more than half of this year's workshops and webinars will be led by women.
The goal of the event is to influence the development of the testing industry by sharing testing knowledge and experience as a tester. The presenters will take participants through the simplest cases from the everyday life of a tester, as well as show solutions to big problems faced by software companies.
The Testathon is organized by Sages, a company that has been operating in the IT industry since 2007. The company's mission is to raise the standard of IT services by offering companies comprehensive support in this area based on dialogue with the customer and solving real problems of the organization.
